Short Biography

I am an Associate Professor specializing in artificial intelligence, with a strong interdisciplinary background in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision, particularly applied to computer-aided diagnosis (CAD).

From 2012 to 2022, I served as an Associate Professor - HDR in the Biomedical Engineering Department, Faculty of Technology, Abou Bekr Belkaid – TLEMCEN – University, Algeria. During this period, I led the CREDOM research team within the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory (GBM), where I focused on medical data characterization and recognition. I collaborated closely with university hospitals (CHUs) and cancer centers on national research projects. I was also actively involved in organizing and participating in scientific events and conferences, and I regularly reviewed manuscripts for respected scientific journals.

From 2019 to 2022, I was a member of the Scientific Committee of the Biomedical Engineering Department and served on the Doctoral School Committee for Biomedical Engineering.

Since 2023, I have been based in France as an Associate Professor - HDR at ISEN Ouest in Caen. I am currently part of the Light Scatter Learning LSL  research team, where I also serve as the research coordinator of L@bISEN. In addition, I am responsible for the Medical Technology and Health Master’s program and continue to contribute to editorial activities in the scientific community.

My current research explores multimodal and longitudinal biomedical data, explainable and trustworthy AI, Scientific Machine Learning, and intelligent agent-based systems for healthcare applications. I am actively involved in research supervision, academic–clinical and industrial collaborations, scientific reviewing, conference activities, and editorial initiatives related to artificial intelligence and biomedical engineering.
